Laser epilation is a process that follows the natural renewal cycle of your skin. Since hair does not grow simultaneously, a strategic approach adapted to the three growth phases is required for complete removal:
- ANAGEN PHASE (active growth): The hair is directly connected to the root. This is the crucial moment when the laser can permanently destroy the follicle.
- CATAGEN PHASE (transition phase): The hair detaches from the root, so the laser energy does not reach the target tissue.
- TELOGEN PHASE (resting phase): The follicle is dormant before a new growth cycle and is not susceptible to laser light in this phase.
Since only about 15% to 20% of your hair is in the active growth phase, a final result cannot be achieved with a single treatment. Based on clinical experience, we recommend 8 to 12 treatments at intervals of 4 to 8 weeks. This ensures that we gradually remove all hair follicles in their most vulnerable phase.
